BIO:

Kashaun & Domonique Cooper met on the internet through Facebook many years ago and it’s been magic ever since. Kashaun from Brooklyn, NY and Dominoniqe from Baltimore, MD both found their way to Georgia. After years of working for big box stores and the government, and after Domonique was diagnosed with MS, they both took a break and went into semi-retirement.

CULINARY BACKGROUND:
Domonique always enjoyed spending time in the kitchen with her mom and grandmother, but the real passion to open a food business came 4 years ago. After a trip to the fair, their 9 year old said “we should be able to get funnel cakes everyday.” They agreed and embarked on the journey to open their own, stand alone, funnel cake business. “No one else is doing this and business has been great,” says Domonique.

FAVORITE CULINARY MEMORY:
For Domonique when she was 9 she recalls making crab cakes for the first time with her mom and grandmother. That same recipe of Old Bay and crab is still used today on their ‘Marylander’ funnel cake special.

WHAT I’LL BE TASTING AT GOOD TASTE GWINNETT:
They will be tasting all of their specials- plain jane, sweet fancy, USA, candy land, oreo delight and cookie’s funnel cheesecake with all the fixins’.

On MY Bucket List:
Kashaun has a list of 60 things to do in 60 months and hopes to accomplish at least half of them. And they’d like to have a funnel cake store in every state for everyone to ‘enjoy funnel cake everyday’.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THIS PLACE:
“We’re able to be creative and not held to a franchiser’s rules. We can add to the menu at any time, whenever we think of something new” says Domonique.
